Hello Alice girl, won't you take a seat?
Won't you sit?
Won't you rest?
Won't you talk a while with me?
Hello, Alice girl, won't you have some tea?
Mad?
Oh yes
Of course I am,
I can hardly help it, you see,
I am Mad and I am a Hatter,
And that's the long and short of me.
Hello, Alice girl,
sit a little closer,
if you will.
We shall talk,
and drink our tea,
and soon enough you shall see,
that you have little to fear from a Hatter,
even one as mad as me.
Hello, Alice girl,
what is it you said to me?
Why yes,
Oh my,
that is my hand,
resting upon your knee.
I can't imagine how it got there,
it wasn't from any choice by me.
But it isn't it rather nice there?
It would seem awfully sweet to me,
if perhaps you took my hand,
and we held them together,
while we drink our tea.
Hello, Alice girl, what would you say to a little kiss?
Just a peck,
just a touch,
just a brush upon your cheek
Oh dear!
Oh mercy!
Oh clumsy, clumsy me!
It seems I missed your cheek completely,
and kissed your lips,
ever so fleetly.
How could I have done such a thing?
Hello, Alice girl,
won't you stay a while?
I miss you when you go away,
and I can't see your shining smile.
Yes, Alice girl,
stay a while,
have another cup of tea,
and perhaps we'll even see,
if you could ever find it in your heart,
to love a Hatter as mad as me.

To My Dearest Peter Pan
Dear Peter,
take me away.
take me so very far away,
to your never neverland,
so that i will never ever have to grow up.
My Dearest Peter Pan,
let me kiss the stars with you.
Let me kiss your rosy lips,
and let the stars witness my devotion
to the never-ending love
of my childhood.
My Dearest Peter,
i'm still waiting for you
to come through my window,
just as you did when i was a young babe.
Dear Mr. Pan,
i've waited and waited,
and i watch my window every night
just in hopes
that i'll see your mischevious shadow
lurking in on me,
as he did in those long ago days.
To My Dearest Mr. Peter Pan,
I don't think you're comi

Alice in Wonderland
Winds howl their greetings
As I crawl out of my bed
Hushed whispers turn to screaming
Creating chaos in my head
I tumbled down the rabbit hole
Into this empty space
I cannot stand the feeling
Of the pain I can't erase
My nightmares are so frequent
That they are only dreams
Yet crawling up my blood-red throat
Are tormented screams
The darkness of my mind
Is what pushes you away
But if you ever leave me
I will not last another day
I am little Alice
The one they never found
The one who fell down the rabbit hole
And stayed there, underground
In my alternate reality
Of tiny imps and elves
I have become one of the creatures

Drink from my cup

I must find a new kettle
and the march hare.
Walk
run fly and fall.
Quick back to tea
take a sip
a gulp
perhaps a bit of sugar
a pot of tea
maybe three?
Quickly quickly
no time to waste
no time to waste to race
its always time for tea.
A dash of honey
a lump of suger
and a guest for tea.
Switch chairs
trade with the hare
but dont forget the tea.
All life for tea
you me and tea.
Tea by the pot
the cup
the drum
sweet wonderful tea.
But remember you must have tea
with me
you see?
Its not quite tea time
or a pot of grey
nor a party wi

Two updates in one day? Well, okay. Personally, I blame it on looking at bri-chan's Alice/Hatter art. And my own twisted brain and the new original story I'm working on, a rather dark little tale that has a main female character who has a great love for Alice in Wonderland. Please excuse how bad I am at poetry, thanks ever so.
Alice in Wonderland: Not mine, obviously.
(I wasn't entirely sure how to categorize this, never having uploaded poetry before.)
Edit as of April 2009: Hi there, all. Been a bit, hasn't it? Right. So, lately, I've found this poem floating around the 'net a lot, posted at people's myspaces and blogspots and other such places. Which as I've repeated several times, I am entirely fine with. It's flattering. -However-, if you are going to post it elsewhere, please put my screenname somewhere before or after the poem, so that people know its mine. It's just irksome otherwise. Thank you in advance.
Edit as of March 2010: I have a Formspring page now, feel free to ask me questions of any sort, I'll probably answer them: [link]
Update as of May 2013: A lovely fellow who goes by has made a recording of himself reading this poem. It can be found here: [link] Do go and have a listen.

"Oh, Hatter.." said Alice,
Her eyes shining like stars
"I don't mind that you're mad.."
"All the best people are."

As art begets art, so it seems that poetry begets poetry.
As soon as we read this poem, we came up with this one in turn.
